Principal's Message

Welcome to the 2020- 2021 school year. It is with great pleasure I welcome you to Loyola Village Performing and Fine Arts Magnet School! I am excited and honored to be the Principal of this AWESOME school. I am beginning my 24th year as an educator in Los Angeles Unified School District and my 7th year as the Proud Principal of LoVE (Loyola Village Elementary). I am looking forward to serving each and every one of you as we continue to soar both academically and artistically.
Even though we will be starting our classes virtually, we will still offer our amazing Academic and Artistic programs. I will continue with my weekly "Check In's with Dr. Smith" , and look forward to partnering with you to make this a great experience for our Leaders and Scholars.

Every year is a fresh year to grow and develop and prepare our children for college. We believe every child has the opportunity to be College and Career Ready! Our goal is to support you and our children in reaching their full potential. We are aggressively strategizing and finding ways to support  your children both academically and socially.

As a Progressively Artistic school, we offer many arts enrichment programs, providing Artistic instruction in Theater, Voice,  Dance (modern, jazz and African dance), and Visual Arts. We hope you will attend and/or support our performances and showcases throughout the year. (See our calendar section). The programs are free but donations will be accepted through our PTO. (The donations support all of our Arts programs)

If you’re looking to partner with us or would like to find ways to support our school and it’s programs (academically or artistically) please give us a call at (310) 670-0480, or you can email me at Krishna.Smith@lausd.net We appreciate all you would like to do to support our students.

As I conclude this message, I look forward to partnering with each of you. Thank you for entrusting us to be a part of your child’s academic and artistic experience.

Dr. Krishna Smith, Principal
