Field Trip to Orville Wright Middle School on Thursday

Wright Middle has generously offered to host our children and have them view a showing of their holiday program.  The trip is Thursday, December 6.  Permission slips went home today.  They are due back Thursday AM at latest.
CHAPERONES WANTED!!!  Please include your name in the blank at the top of the permission slips and let us know if you can walk with us.
Please know ahead of time, this is a WALKING field trip.  Wright is 2 miles from Loyola Village.  It will be a 4 mi. roundtrip hike.  If you know your child can't make that distance or might complain more than 0 times during the walk, please don't return the slip signed.  Send them to school and we'll find another room for them while we are gone.
Rain is in forecast for Thursday so we might cancel or we might risk it and go.  Send your child that day with a good attitude, a sack lunch, a hat with a brim, an umbrella, and warm, water resistant clothing if you got it.  If we decide to go and there is a permission slip signed, you and/or your child can still opt out on the day of the trip if you feel the weather is too inclement.
Goes without saying, we are representing ourselves, our school, our families, and our community when we are off campus.  Excellent behavior is required at all times.

HR21 Rocked it today.

HR21 had an excellent science lesson today.  All worked attentively and cooperatively in the small group activity.  Videos to come later today.

Parent/Teacher Conferences next week

Come spend 5 minutes with each of your child's three teachers next week during parent/teacher conference week.
The 5th grade team of teachers will be together in Room 38 from 1:45pm-3:00pm Monday through Thursday and 1:45pm-2:30pm on Friday.
There is early dismissal at 1:30pm (1:33 Tuesday) each day next week.  Conferences will be first come, first served.

Harvest Festival Parade Wednesday 1:30PM

Please reiterate to your children what we have been saying to them all week:  Wednesday is a school day with a full day of lessons planned.
There will be a little bit of fun though.  A costume parade will happen on the yard at 1:30PM and the 5th grade will perform a dance to "Thriller."  Hope to see you then.  There will be no class party Wednesday.  Please do not send your child to school with candy or snacks or drinks to handout.
Reminder that Thursday and Fridays are school days.  We need your child in their seat on those days.  We can't afford a drop in our Average Daily Attendance numbers.
Thank you.
