April 11, 2021

Greetings Lo.V.E. Family,

This is Dr. Smith with your weekly updates.

Our school will be reopening next week, April 19, and every family has a choice: an in-person return or remaining online. If you have not already done so, please make a selection by calling the school or completing the Program Selection Form at https://reopening.lausd.net/familyselection.

If you are coming back to our school April 19: Please make sure your child gets COVID tested this  upcoming week! Testing will be open 7 days a week, from 7 am to 7 pm, from April 25th. If you need more information on this or wish to schedule an appointment for a COVID test at a school near you, please call the Family Hotline at 213-443-1300 or schedule an appointment using the Daily Pass. (Dailypass.lausd.net). Every student must be tested before coming back.

If you submitted your Program Selection Form after March 25th and made a a Transportation Request, transportation was not assigned to you at this time. You will need to contact 1-800-LA-Buses and speak to the Routing Department to potentially assign you a bus.

Please join me on a Town Hall Meeting on Tuesday at 4pm to discuss the Return to School updates. Please check the website on the calendar section for the Zoom login.

To ensure a smooth transition, we are reopening grade by grade, with staggered start times. Pre-K, Kindergarten and First Grade will begin at 8 a.m. Tuesday, April 20. Grades 2-3 will begin at 8:15 a.m. Wednesday, April 21, and Grades 4- 5/6 will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 22.

Please note that these start times of 8, 8:15 and 8:30 a.m. will be in effect for the remainder of the school year.
If you have not yet done so, please complete the Program Selection Form at reopening.lausd.net/familyselection. Letting us know whether your child will be returning to school or remaining online will help us plan for the rest of the school year.

What’s the Daily Pass?
It’s a web tool used to schedule COVID-19 tests and get test results. It is also where you can answer the Daily Health Check questions required to eventually get back onto campus.

Go to dailypass.lausd.net.
NOTE: Daily Pass requires that parents have a Parent Portal account linked to their child’s profile.  For Parent Portal instructions see here.

For help scheduling a COVID-19 test or using the Daily Pass, please contact your school site or call the Los Angeles Unified Helpdesk at 213-443-1300.

If we all take these Safe Steps to Safe Schools, together we help stop the spread of COVID-19 and get back to campus.

Thank you and stay safe.
